Elk City Summer Arts Program enrollment set for Tuesday, May 29

The Elk City Arts Program is about to begin again. This program is offered to children through the Elk City Arts Council with help from the United Fund and the Elk City Public Schools. Five programs will be offered again this year including: Art, Creative Writing, Drama, Dance and Vocal. This year the classes will be held later in the summer for junior high and senior high school students by special arrangement. All other classes will be held May 30 through June 27. A registration form is offered below.

Art, taught by Stephanie Miller, will be offered from 9-10 a.m. for children from grades three to six and 10-11 a.m. for children from grades 1 & 2.

Creative Writing, taught by Caren Brooks, will be offered from 9-10 a.m. for children who have completed grades one and two, and from 10-11 a.m. for children from grades three through six.

Drama, taught by Debbie Sizemore, will be offered to students from grades one through six from 11-12 a.m.

Dance, taught by Heather Norueil, will be offered to both boys and girls from grades one through six from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. (Students enrolled in both drama and dance are welcome to bring a snack.)

Justin Ediger will have vocal classes later in the summer.

Fees for classes are determined by the number of children in the family attending. One child enrolled in a class will pay $20 per class, two children will be charged $18 per class, and 3 children will be charged $15.

Enrollment will be held on Tuesday, May 29 in the hall behind the Susan Powell Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

All students from the Elk City area are invited to participate and we hope you and your children will take advantage of these exciting and enriching programs.
