Great Plains Regional Medical Center celebrated and recognized the installation of hospital volunteer officers. Every two years the group of volunteers votes on a president, vice-president and secretary/treasurer. And this year, the same three officers were reelected to their positions.
Jerry Winingham will be the volunteer group's president for the third consecutive term. Margaret Nichols was voted in as vice-president, and Valeria Jay received the secretary/treasurer nomination.
"This is a phenomenal group," GPRMC CEO Don Ikner, who performed the installation of the officers, said. "They do great work. We certainly like to recognize them and appreciate them."
This year, the group consists of 40 active volunteers, a number that has grown consistently in the past three years.
