OSBI arrests Weatherford man caught in child sex sting

A Weatherford man was arrested at a Walmart dressing room Wednesday, where he was expecting to meet an underage female, according to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

William Cantrell, 22, is being held in the Weatherford City Jail. According to a press release from the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, agents posing as children between the ages of 9 and 13 communicated with Cantrell via computer.

He allegedly told the undercover agents he wanted them to send him nude pictures of themselves, to perform sex acts on themselves, and to meet him for sex.

Cantrell and the undercover agents set a meeting at a dressing room at Walmart, where Cantrell was employed. Cantrell believed he was meeting one of the underage females. When Cantrell arrived for the meeting, OSBI agents and Weatherford police officers arrested him on five counts of lewd or indecent proposals to a child under 16 and two counts of violation of the Oklahoma computer crimes act.

OSBI agents continue to investigate.
