Felony warrants issued for three in Beckham Co. for embezzlement

The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigate allegations of embezzlement involving former officials of the Beckham County Rural Water District #2 located in Erick. A very lengthy and time consuming investigation by OSBI agents reveals Ronnie West (d.o.b. 4/26/1947), his wife Jean West (d.o.b. 4/14/1952), and their daughter Shelia Elizondo (8/20/1975) embezzled thousands of dollars from the water district for several years. Details can be found in the affidavit filed with the Beckham County Court Clerk’s Office.

Among the items purchased by the suspects with water district money were iPods, a flat-screen t.v., and tires.

Ronnie West was a manager for the BCRWD for 20 years. Jean West worked as the office manager for 10 years. Shelia Elizondo worked periodically for the board as the office manager for the past several years. None of them currently work for the water district.

Felony warrants have been issued on all three individuals.
