When the Elk City Rodeo of Champions officially begins Friday, Doug Gray will once again have honors as the top sponsor.
His contributions, along with help from Ram Trucks, will help put on the rodeo, which is in its 74th year.
"We help sponsor the rodeo with added monies. We also take vehicles to the site for display and we'll have sales reps on site," said Gray.
Ram is contributing to the money pot that the competitors aim for during their events, and there will be five $1,000 scholarships handed out.
"We coincide with the dealership in the market where the event is. We set up the display, we hang up the banners and do a live commercial," said Ram representative Jesse Guillory, describing some of the things a member of the public might see in the days leading up to the rodeo.
Visitors to the rodeo will also have a chance to walk away with a big prize. Guillory said there will be a drawing on Monday for a $45,000 voucher that goes toward the purchase of anything Chrysler sells.
