As high school sports begin to peek their heads around the corner, so too does the Elk City All-Sports organization, which raises money through various efforts to support all Elk City High School athletic programs.
The first Elk City All-Sports meeting will be held Aug 1 at 8:00 p.m. in the ECHS commons area. Anyone with children in Elk City athletics is encouraged to attend the meeting, or join the organization.
“In the past we have had an average of eight to nine people show up. We would love to have more,” club president Mike Clinton said. “We would really love to have two or three sets of parents from every grade, who really want to be involved.”
In the past, the ECASO has raised money to pay for various things that were not in a coach’s yearly budget, including, but not limited to watering tables for coolers for the basketball team, motel rooms for cheerleaders at road games, new weights for the field house, and a John Deere “Gator” for the football field.
ALL-SPORT PROGRAM ADS
The ECASO is accepting business advertisements for the 2012-2013 football and basketball programs. A business card size ad is $75, a quarter-page ad is $150, a half-page ad is $300, and a full-page is $500.
Parents and grandparents of Elk City athletes can show their support by purchasing personal ads in the All-Sports Program. The cost is $25 per square, and an unlimited number can be purchased.
If you would like to advertise, please contact Angie Clinton at (580) 821-2679 by August 10.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
The ECASO has begun its membership drive for the 2012-2013 season, and will offer a $50 “Big Elk Membership” or a $25 regular membership.
The Big Elk Membership includes special parking at the football games and a Big Elk Membership hat. All membership fees go toward ECHS athletics, and scholarships for graduating senior athletes.
