Robbery convict escapes area prison

Daily Elk Citian Community News - Elk City and Western OklahomaA man in prison for robbery has escaped from a minimum security facility in western Oklahoma near Woodward.

Bob J. Zordell was in custody at William S. Key Correctional Center in Fort Supply and escaped Wednesday night.

He had been serving an eight year sentence and was convicted in Oklahoma County last year.

According to a prison spokeswoman, Zordell was present for the 6 p.m. count, but two hours later he was missing.

He is described as a six-foot tall white male, 165 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a sword and heart on his left arm.
