The Elk City Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for a big fall. This year's Elk City Fall Festival is positioned as the prominent highlight of the calendar, with the long-running event set to be a major draw for visitors and shoppers in western Oklahoma.

FREE... But Not Cheap

This year's festival, free for all, is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Elk City Convention Center. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, giving attendees a good window of time both days. Just to get a sense of the scale, here's what you get for nothing: 100+ professional vendor booths, a season selections of gifts, home decor and other products, and a full food tent. All at no charge.

Size Matters. So Does Event Craft

A rough count shows more than 100 professional booths, making it the biggest arts and crafts show in western Oklahoma, according to local reports. Best of all, the vendors know they're not just setting up a stall: organizers have been running this one for decades, since 1982. And, as with previous years, prizes will be awarded in selected categories including everything from fine art to student awards.

A Strong Start

Last year, the event drew just under 5,000 people, with 2,900 attending Saturday’s session and 2,000 on hand Sunday. That turnout alone underlines how important the event is to the local community, its vendors, and visitors from as far away as Dallas and Tulsa.

More on this is available via InternetGamblingDirectory.org top picks.

Attendees last year browsed through a large selection of gift items, seasonal decorations, other home goods and products. Food vendors were there in force, and - a nice touch - some awards were even given out in selected booth categories and for high-school art.

But They Don't Do It Alone

The organizer is the Elk City Convention Center, which has been involved for decades, but scheduling goes through the Elk City Chamber of Commerce. Back in April, they staged the 100th annual event, the Elk City FFA Beef Expo. Coming soon, the Southwest Farm and Home Expo is coming up in August, and the PRCA Rodeo of Champions will be here in September, just before the fall festival. There are plenty of home-grown events in the schedule too, including the Oklahoma National Junior Heifer Show and activities down at the Italian Gardens.

Now to the wrap-up: a final word. The Elk City Chamber doesn't just do this one event. It's rolling out a season of community activities, all of which have local support, including a lot of new events in the works.
