Area schools collide this weekend as Elk City High School slow-pitch softball plays host to a tournament Friday and Saturday at the Elk City softball complex.
The tournament features teams from Class A to 5A and is double-elimination style format.
In addition to ECHS, Canute, Merritt, Weatherford, Hammon and Cheyenne are among the teams in the field of 16, which begin first round play at 12:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Rounding out the tournaments championship brackets will be Hammon, Cheyenne, Sentinel and Watonga, which have byes for Friday’s games and will play Saturday in a double elimination tournament.
Match-ups and game times for those schools have not yet been determined.
