The accounts differ as to what her mindset was during her appearance at the plate, but one thing is certain — Merritt sophomore Jenny Wing was trying to score the game-winning run in the Oilerettes' 2-1 victory over Hydro-Eakly Tuesday night.
Both sides played stellar defense in Tuesday's game, specifically the Oilerettes who turned three double plays.
"It was a defensive game," Partain said. "[The double plays] were huge. A lot of times it's hard to just get one double play, especially in slow-pitch softball."
