Elk City police are looking for the owner of construction items that could be stolen.
They have in evidence two large concrete tools, including a saw and tamper.
The items were recovered after a chase Sunday night through a residential area of Elk City. According to a preliminary report, Veronica Elizabeth Dean, 19, of Elk City, ran from officers in a 1986 GMC pickup after Donald Keith Chapman, 36, jumped out of the truck during a traffic stop.
The incident occurred at about 7:45 p.m.
Officers chased Dean from Boone Street near Avenue B down several residential streets until she drove into a field at a T-intersection at around 75 mph.
Dean, who was listed in the report as being pregnant and almost to term, suffered injuries and was flown by helicopter to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Chapman was apprehended on foot, and Dean could face several charges, including DUI and possession of drugs.
In the truck, officers said they found marijuana and methamphetamine paraphernalia.
In the bed of the truck was a black and orange Robin asphalt or concrete tamper and a blue Target concrete saw. Police believe these items could be stolen.
Anyone who has information about the construction tools should contact the Elk City Police Department at (580) 225-1212.
