A young couple recently donated over 10,000 books to the Elk City Library--the contents of an OKC online book store and an interesting mixture of hardcover, softcover, old and new, adult and children’s. After the library took some for its shelved collection, the rest are offered for the Friends Book Sale--- all at bargain prices and those proceeds benefiting the Elk City Carnegie Library.
The March 9 thru 11 Book Sale will be at 120 S. Jefferson -- south entrance to old City Hall. Friday’s hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday’s are from 9 am to 6 p.m.; Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friends of the Library (who pay a $3 membership fee) can shop early-from 5 to 9 on Thursday, March 8.
