We're All From Somewhere: James, Joyce Ellis trace family history

This week the Daily Elk Citian traces the Ellis and Merritt family trees as part of the occasional series We're All From Somewhere.

James and Joyce Ellis have lived in Elk City their entire 81 years of life.

James' family, the Ellis', came from Tennessee and made a life for themselves on a farm.

Joyce's family, the Merritts, also came from Tennessee and started several businesses in town.

James and Joyce have been married for 63 years and don't plan on going anywhere soon.
