Hundreds of students armed with their voices and musical instruments will hit the stage in the next week to perform their end-of-the-year concerts. Five concerts are scheduled between now and next Tuesday as the year's grand finale and gives Elk CIty a chance to hear from some of the state's best choirs and bands.

The lineup will begin with Grandview's bands at 7 p.m. tonight at Pioneer Center. The Elk City Middle School and High School bands will perform Tuesday evening starting at 7:30 p.m., Fairview's third grade will put on a program Thursday at 1:15 p.m. and 7 p.m., and the series will end with middle school and high school choir May 15 at 7 p.m.

"This is a neat time of year," Justin Ediger, Elk City choir director, said. "It's the only time of year, besides Christmas, when we have a lot of different [music program] choices like this. Just this seven days people can go to two different band concerts, an elementary performance and choir performances."
