Last year, there were 86,000 traumas in the state of Oklahoma alone. In fact, it's the number one killer of people between the ages of one and 44, said Dr. Lindsay Peña, general surgeon at GPRMC.

That's exactly why she has spent several months planning the Trauma Prevention Fair to be held tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hospital.

The fair was planned to be held during Hospital Week and National Trauma Awareness Month. It will include over ten informational booths covering a variety of trauma prevention topics. They will include: bicycle safety, child abuse prevention, gun safety, fire prevention, distracted driving, highway safety, car seat checks, ATV safety and fall prevention.

The fair will also include door prizes, raffles and a free hamburger and hotdog lunch.
